My Favorite Bible Verses

Hey guys! Sorry this isn’t my typical post (even though I am very unpredictable), but God just put this on my heart to post today. So today I am going to be writing about some of my favorite Bible verses (not that I don't adore them all).

Okay so the first one is John 3:16, one of my personal favorites. The verse says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”- John 3:16

The next one of my favorite Bible verses is Matthew 5:16.This verse states “Let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father who is in Heaven.”- Matthew 5:16

Next, we have Joshua 1:9. I love this verse so much because it really takes away any of my fears. The verse says “ Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”- Joshua 1:9

Okay that’s all for today I hope you enjoyed today's post as much as I did! I’ll see you on Friday! Goodbye!

Five Things I Have Been Doing During Social Distancing

Hey guys welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to be sharing with you five things I have been doing during social distancing.

Okay so the first thing I have been doing is reading . I have enjoyed this time so much, and I encourage you all to enjoy some reading time as well!

The second thing I have been doing is digital school work. Although this may sound boring because we are on break, it isn’t so bad after all. It isn’t so bad because you can work at your own pace, get up at whatever time you want, and for me it is shorter than normal school.

The third thing I have been doing is go on walks with my family. I love these afternoon walks because I get to exercise after being cooped up all day, I get to spend time with my family, and some of our routes are very scenic.

One of the other things I have been doing while on break is play on my facetime with my friends. My friends and I have been trying very hard to stay in touch and have been successful so far.

The last thing I am going to share with y’all that I have been doing is trying to convince my parents to let me get a dog. As I mentioned before, I have been keeping up with my friends. With one of my friends we have been trying to find the perfect dogs for us via Facetime each day. Do you have a dog or any other pet? Make a comment down below saying if you have a pet what kind it is and one cool fact about it or if you don’t comment if you would like one and what kind you would get.

I hope you enjoyed reading what I have been doing during social distancing! Remember to stay safe and healthy. I can’t wait to see you in the next post! Goodbye!

Five Reasons Why Amazon is the Best

Hey! Welcome back to my blog! Today, after lots of thought,  I finally decided that I was going to write about five reasons why Amazon is the best. Before I begin I wanted to remind you that if you have any ideas or requests for a future blog post please make a comment so it can be taken into consideration.

Okay reason one is fast free two day shipping if you have Amazon Prime. An Amazon Prime membership is $12.99 a month. Even though not all items are Prime eligible most are, so the Prime membership is definitely worth it. This is only one of the many, many Amazon Prime perks.

Another reason Amazon is the best is the outstanding customer service they offer. Amazon has amazing customer service because they do all that is in their ability and control to fix any issues you may have.

Our third reason for why Amazon is the best is all the amazing items. Amazon offers a wide variety of items in almost every single category there is. They have everything from a dinosaur taco holder to summer camp scented candles.

The next reason as to why Amazon is the best is the searches show relevant items. Unlike some other e-commerce companies Amazon gives back items that are actually related to your search.

Lastly, reason five is the great prices Amazon offers. Amazon offers amazingly reasonable prices for each item you look into buying.

In my opinion when looking into online shopping Amazon is the best online shopping company. With that said Amazon is definitely my go-to. What do you think about Amazon? You can make your vote in the comment section.  I hope you enjoyed these five reasons why Amazon is the Best! Good bye!

Fun Activities to do While at Home

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today I thought because we have to stay home due to Covid-19, I should do a post on fun things to do at home. So let’s get started!

Number one is read! Reading can be very fun if you have the right book. So, I put together a list of books at the bottom in the extras section that I loved and think you will too!

The second item on our list is watch T.V. To just kick back with your favorite snack and binge watch can be very relaxing. Netflix has a very good selection for lots of age ranges for a good price as well.

Next on our list is to play board games. This can be very fun if you want to have a tournament with a  championship or a game night with anyone who lives with you.

Number four on our list of things you could do is complete some puzzles. There are many different kinds of puzzles-- you may even find a hobby you love with all of the choices available.

Lastly on our list is writing. With writing there are so many different possibilities out there. You could base your writing off another story or make up your own.

I hope these five fun activities to do while at home inspire you and help keep you occupied. I will see you on Monday! Good bye!

The History of St Patrick’s Day

Hello and welcome back to my lovely blog! Sorry for not posting yesterday, but I do have a reason for that. I decided to post today instead because it’s St. Patrick's Day. With that in mind, today I am going to do a St.Patrick's Day special.

St. Patrick's Day is a tradition that started in Ireland in the early seventeenth century when a man named Maewyn Succet was captured and taken to Ireland at age sixteen. In his imprisonment, he believed he was captured because of his lack of faith, so he spent lots of time in prayer. Six years later, at age twenty-two, Succet escaped from Ireland to go back to his home country, Great Britain, because of a vision he had.

Once St. Patrick had returned to Great Britain, he kept having a dream to go back to Ireland to tell the people about God. Before returning back to Ireland, he spent twelve years in France because he did not feel ready to be a missionary. When he did finally make it back to Ireland, he was a priest. Over the course of twenty years, he traveled and baptized people all over Ireland. On March seventeenth 461 or 493 (the exact date is unknown), St. Patrick died. Ever since then the Irish people have celebrated with a feast every year on March seventeenth.

Now St. Patrick's day is celebrated differently all around the world. Some of the things people do are celebrate with parades, dye lakes and rivers green, wear lots of green, and many other things.

Even though there might be different ways people celebrate around the world and other myths such as leprechauns have been brought into this holiday, one thing is for sure. We are all celebrating the same thing, Christianity being spread throughout Ireland. I hope you had fun learning about the history of St. Patrick's day! Goodbye and happy St. Patrick's day!

If I Refused to Accept a One Million Dollars……………

Hello and welcome back once again to my wonderful blog! Today, since I got such good feedback and so many views on my last post I decided to write a similar post, just using a different prompt. Today’s prompt is "If I refused to accept a one million dollars," but before we get started, I encourage you to write your own short story following the prompt and post it in the comments for all to enjoy!

If I refused to accept a one million dollars……………

If I refused to accept one million dollars it would be if from Queen Elizabeth the second. She would start off by saying to me “You are such an amazing president to the United States I am giving you one million dollars!” I would reply with “What a generous act, but really I can not accept this. It is too much.” “But I insist you must take it.”  she would say after that. “ Really it is way too much.” I would say back.

Then, she would try to sneak it into my bank account, but the secret service would stop her before she could deposit the check, and she would say “I am the queen of England let me deposit this check! but the secret service would reply “I am sorry but we are not in England, so no can do!” “Fine!” she would say as she would march out the door in her fancy English shoes.

Then, she would try to slide it into my bank vault in the White House, but I would be swimming in money at that time so I would catch her so she couldn't give it to me. Lastly, she would try to give it to me again, but I would say “I have an idea! Lets just donate it to a college!”  “Great idea! Which one? There are so many!” she would respond. “Hmmm……………..how about Georgia Tech!” I would say excitedly. “Ok!” she would say with a relieved feeling, and then donate it to the college. After we donated it to the college the queen and I got a very big thank you card that has tons and tons of glitter on it. I would be very glad that I would be able to donate to a good cause, and so would Queen Elizabeth!

If I were a Pencil for a Day……………

Hey guys, welcome to our Monday post! Today I thought y’all might like to read one of the short stories I have written before. So today’s short story is: If I were a pencil for a day.

                    If I were a pencil for a day……………

If I were a pencil for a day I would start off clean and shiny with a full pink eraser, but then suddenly a kid would pound my lead into his paper until my lead broke off my precious head. Then, instead of sharpening me he would get a new pencil from his blue striped pencil pouch. He would leave me there to sit against the cold, hard, slick desk. As his friend walked by I would get launched into the air and land on the opposite side of the room on the dusty and dirty floor. As I just sit there a girl would kick me into the corner where the janitor finds me and tries to add me to her collection. As she begins to lean down to pick me up the teacher would ask her a question. Just like lightning, another kid would swoop in and steal me--and GROSS--he picked his nose with my now dusty eraser. After I get coated in boogers the gross kid bites off my eraser, licks it and spits it into the trashcan next to him. Soon after lunch a kindergartner would find me and take me to her house and dress me up in doll clothes and add a face on me. After I get a face she would put makeup and pipe cleaner clothes on me and I would be played with for the rest of my life as a doll.

I hope you enjoyed my short story! That’s all for now see you next time! Good bye!

Five Study Tools/Resources

Hey! It’s me, The Queen, here to do our Friday post. So today I thought I should write about five study tools/resources, so here I am. But before I start I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been keeping up with my blog, as it is hard to start a blog and get readers, so thank you! I will put the links at the end of the post.

Alright our first resource is Quizlet. I personally love it, It’s Quizlet, but then again I love all the tools I will be sharing.Quizlet is really easy to use. On Quizlet you can make flash cards, do a match game, see other peoples flash card sets, learn to spell, write, and play this gravity game with your terms. Quizlet also has a Quizlet live option where you can host a team game and you and your friends can study together while having fun. I think it’s super cool!

Our second resource is Quizizz. Quizizz  sort of like Quizlet Live except this one is not teams. On Quizizz you can host a game people can join and at the end of the game it will show rankings. You can also join a game that's over and just practice without them seeing your nickname or your name, but you can replay as many times as you want. So for me this one is a winner as well.

This one is not really a tool, but I like them alot. It's  good ole’ school paper flashcards. Why paper flashcards when you can have digital ones you might ask? Well, I like to have something I can have that's easy to get  on the go. Like if I were in the car on a trip It would be harder to grab my chromebook and take it with me, but I could easily bring flashcards. That's why I like them. So I made a template and included that at the bottom of my post.

Again this one is not a website, but these can be very helpful! This lovely item is a study guide.Your teacher most likely gives them out to you all the time and you probably take them forganted. BUT just because they are something simple doesn't mean they aren’t helpful! I use them all the time when making Quizlets,Quizizz, or flashcards, and you probably do and just don’t realize it. These can also be helpful and double as a note taking recourse when taking notes on a slideshow your teacher may have made or just notes in general for class.I also did include a template at the bottom in case you ever have to make your own study guide.

Number five is a website, but I am sure you all know about it. It’s Google Slides. Now you're probably wondering how this is a study tool? I  use it as a study tool by using my study guide to help me make a slideshow on the terms. Then I find links and resources to put on there that are also helpful for studying that I may want to use. You can also add pictures to help you remember/learn some of the terms on your presentation.

Thanks for reading my study tools/resources! I hope to see you on Monday in my next post! Goodbye!
