Hey peeps! Welcome back! I decided I am going to be picking a random city of each state in the U.S and do a post on them every once and awhile. Today I picked Ashland, Oregon to “explore”.
Ashland’s most recent population count in 2017 came back as 21,117. Some fun things to do in Ashland are to go rafting, escape rooms, and visit one of their four museums. Some of Ashland’s most popular landmarks or places to visit are Lithia Park, The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Oregon Cabaret Theater, Mount Ashland, and Emigrant Lake.
Ashland is home of SOU (Southern Oregon University) and located in Jackson County. Its coordinates are 42.1946° N, 122.7095° W. This amazing city was founded by Robert Hargadine and its current mayor is John Strongberg. John was elected for his third term in 2016 for another four year term that ends this year.
As you can see Ashland, Oregon would be a great place to visit or do a report on for school. I have included some pictures of this beautiful land below.
